2a. The Five Guardian MaNDala Within the [center of the] Five Guardian MaNDala, [standing] upon a lunar [disc within a] variegated lotus, which lies upon an elevated universal vajra, which is itself located in the middle of an upper chamber that rests atop Mt. SumerU, which is situated in the center of the Diamond Cage, is MahApratisarA.

MahApratisarA has a yellow appearance and is encircled by a ring of red light. She has four faces. Her principal face is yellow, her right is white, the rear [face] is blue and her left is red. She is seated in the VajraparyaGka Posture and has a head decorated with a funeral monument. She has twelve arms. With her right hands she holds a bunch of jewels, a wheel, a vajra, an arrow, and a sword. [Her remaining right hand is in the] VaradamudrA Position. With her left hands she holds a vajra, a noose, a trident, a bow, an ax, and a shell.

To her east lies MahAsAhasrapramarddinI,23 who is seated in the LalitAkSepa Posture24 upon a lunar [disc within a] variegated water-blossom. She is white [in color] and surrounded by a ring of moonlight. She has four faces. Her principal [face] is white, her right is black, the rear [face] is yellow, and her left is green. She has ten arms. With her right hands she holds an eight-spoked wheel that is resting upon a lotus, a hook, an arrow, and a sword. [Her remaining right hand] is in the VaradamudrA Position. With her left hands she holds a vajra, a noose, a bow and a noose.25 [Her remaining left hand] is in the TarjanI Position.
